Purebred dog clubs have rescue organizations that are readily found on the internet, and they are often contacted by people at animal pounds that have dogs turned in that need new homes or they will be euthanized. But the pounds are full of mutts that need rescuing and new homes also. Please help as you can, with mixed breed puppies, kittens, and you can even contact your state wildlife department to see if you qualify for 'raise and release' programs, where people foster abandoned young wild animals until they are old enough to take care of themselves.

This is one of the nice things living on a farm allows you to do, along with spending time outdoors, helping things grow, and all the other great things you can do living around Nature.
